Staying here as a solo traveler for five nights was a fantastic decision! The inviting kitchen made it so easy to whip up meals, and having my own fridge to store goodies felt great. I loved the shared living space where I got to meet interesting people, and the little snacks provided made the atmosphere feel so homely. The location was a quick walk to both shops and the stunning Svalbard Museum, which I enjoyed exploring.

The location, while peaceful, is about a 16-minute walk from the town center, which might be a challenge in harsher weather. There were some creaky floors as well, but nothing that detracted significantly from the experience.

I really liked this place because the owner had provided a number of nice touches that made us feel welcome, like complementary coffee and a well-equipped kitchen. It's only a short stroll to the Svalbard Church and the scenic Adventfjorden that you wouldn't want to miss during your explorations.

haugen pensjonat svalbard is a cozy spot just a stroll from the airport bus stop. the kitchen is wonderfully equipped for making meals and it's nice to have numbered fridges for your personal items. everything is super clean, and the owner really knows how to make guests feel at home with lovely touches.
